Microneedling

Treatment Overview

Controlled micro injuries to the skin using a sterile microneedling pen bring collagen to the surface to enhance the skin's texture and elasticity as well as even out pigmentation.

Microneedling needs to be done in a series of at least three sessions to maximize results. Fourth appointment must be done within 60 days of third session to induct collagen adequately. After fourth appointment, patients can maintain their results with seasonal appointments.

Patients can choose to have PRP, PRF, or hyaluronic acid applied during their microneedling session.

PRP: Also know as the "Vampire Facial" and "Liquid Gold," priming the face with PRP before microneedling stimulates collagen stimulation and elastin production. Your visit will entail the drawing of PRP, which is platelet-rich plasma. The PRP will be placed in a centrifuge separating the plasma from the red and white blood cells. Using PRP will increase microneedling effects and ensure optimal results.

PRF: All the same goodness as PRP, PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) has added growth factors that continue to release over time. This means that it continues working for you after your procedure.

Hyaluronic Acid: Priming the face with hyaluronic acid provides nourishment to the skin that results in an increase in volume, softening of scars, diminishing of wrinkles, and a glowing look.

Post-Procedure

We provide all microneedling patients with a complimentary post-care kit with products from Epionce, Iluma, and Image Skincare.

Do not wash your face with anything other than water for 24 hours. After this time period, you may use Epionce's Priming Oil and Enriched Firming Mask as needed for tightness and dryness.

Do not workout 12 hours after the procedure as increased blood flow can heighten the chances of bruising and sweating can remove the PRP.

SPF must be worn every single day. We provide a sunscreen in your post-care kit.

Post-Procedure Day 1

In the morning and at night, use the Epionce Milky Cleanser and the Iluma Brightening Serum. If you are experiencing dryness, use Epionce's Priming Oil and/or Epionce's Enriched Firming Mask.

Apply SPF as your last step.

We strongly encourage you to not wear makeup 12 hours after your treatment.

Post-Procedure Day 2

In the evening use the Vital C Masque; cover your face with mask and wait 5-30 minutes. (This mask might tingle and sting; that means it's working). This mask is eating away at the dead skin and chemically exfoliating your face post-treatment.

Use this mask every night until it is gone.

After the mask, use your Milky Cleanser, Illuma Brightening Serum, Priming Oil, and the Enriched Firming Mask as needed for dryness.

Apply SPF as your last step.

Post-Procedure Day 3

You may return to your normal skin routine as long as your skin feels normal again.

If skin feels dry and itchy, keep using Epionce Firming Mask and Epionce Priming Oil. Do not peel or pick at dead skin as it appears.

Apply SPF as your last step.

The Following 2 Weeks

Botox and fillers can be performed immediately after the procedure on the day of.

Do not use products containing retinol or Vitamin C serums for 3 days.

Redness is perfectly normal and will subside in a few days.

Make sure to keep your skin hydrated.

Use the firming mask and oil as often as needed if you feel any tightness or dryness.

SPF must be worn every day to maintain the results of your treatment and protect against sun damage.
